#100 - CAN YOU REALLY BE YOURSELF AT WORK?, with DDS Dobson Smith

Career Therapy Podcast e.100 - CAN YOU BE YOURSELF AT WORK? with DDS Dobson Smith

On this week's Career Therapy Podcast (e.100), we’re proud to welcome executive coach, Neuro-Linguistic Psychotherapist, and author DDS Dobson Smith.

DDS is the founder of Soul Trained, a certified executive coach, Neuro-Linguistic Psychotherapist, and the author of ‘You Can Be Yourself Here.’ DDS helps leaders get up out of the weeds of their comfort zones and into places they didn't know they needed to go.

Today we discuss why authenticity is bullsh*t, how you can learn to love your inner critic, the benefits of diversity and inclusion, how the ‘Great Resignation’ is actually a Great Realization, and what we need to do to foster more belonging in the workplace.

Thank you for tuning into this episode and supporting our show. Please like, subscribe, share and enjoy our conversation with DDS Dobson-Smith…

Also, huge shout out to Martin McGovern, the host of Career Therapy, for creating, producing, and starring in ONE HUNDRED podcast episodes. This is no small feat, for anyone. So trust us, a round of applause is in order.

Most podcasts burn out after a couple dozen episodes (or get left in the dust well before that) as the hosts pursue other interests or simply realize how challenging it is to churn out inspired content on a regular basis. Not Career Therapy. For over two-and-½ years now (since January 2020), Martin has been fueling the creative fire in order to crank out new episodes. As always, he’s exploring the hidden side of modern work, helping you turn procrastination into job search motivation, and teaching you how to stress less, earn more, and change careers with confidence.

Although we’ve relaxed the upload schedule a bit as Martin’s about to begin his own journey to become a therapist (ie. concentrate the ‘Therapy’ half of the podcast name), the show must go on. We’ll see you soon with new episodes. But for now, cheers to 100. It wouldn’t have been possible without Martin’s perseverance and dedication.

By the way, if you dig this podcast, consider hitting the subscribe button on YouTube, clicking ‘follow’ on social media or wherever you get your audio content, or passing it along to a friend whom you think might be interested. We’re aiming to send these ideas far and wide. Thanks for all your support, and thanks for tuning in.

As always, thanks for listening!
