On this week's Career Therapy Podcast (e.71), we welcome Freddy Ayala to the podcast.

Freddy is a communications specialist with a focus in public relations and digital marketing. He’s skilled at crafting relatable posts and press releases, and he’s able to communicate with a wide variety of audiences in order to build strong social followings and foster a sense of community.

Last year, for example, Freddy boosted the California State University San Bernardino’s Student Union social media accounts, more than doubling their outreach by adding roughly 2600 engaged, active Twitter followers in the span of a single semester.

Recently, Freddy shared a post on LinkedIn that caught my eye. In it, he mentioned that he was “tired of all the rejections, so he started doing something he genuinely enjoys as a project” in order to stand out in his search.

In today’s episode we talk about the media project he launched, what to do when you don’t hear back after submitting an application, and some practical tips & tricks for how to approach the job hunt post-college.
